Rentvesting guide

About WPF GO

The short answer

WPF GO is an Australian information site and webinar series about rentvesting. It explains how rentvesting works, including the 2026 tax changes, finance and the risks, in plain language. The webinars are presented by Peter Khoury. Everything on the site and in the webinars is general information, not personal financial, tax or credit advice.

Who we are

WPF GO is an Australian information site about rentvesting: renting where you live and owning an investment property where the numbers work.

We built it because rentvesting is one of the most talked-about property ideas in Australia, and one of the most misunderstood. A February 2025 Westpac survey found 54% of first home buyers were considering it. Then the 2026 Budget changed negative gearing and capital gains tax, and much of what people had read stopped being accurate.

This site explains how it works now, in plain language, with sources and dates on the facts.

WPF GO is a trading name of First Home Buyers Summit Pty Ltd (ABN 52 682 508 014), part of the WPF Holdings group of companies.

The homes in our examples are built by external builders, on land from external land developers. Loans are arranged through WPF Finance or external banks, depending on each client’s requirements. WPF Finance arranges credit under Australian Credit Licence 561207.

How WPF GO is paid. WPF GO earns commissions when a client buys a property through us, and the WPF Holdings group earns income from financing the deal when the loan is arranged through WPF Finance. That means WPF GO benefits financially if you buy a property and take a loan through the group. The webinars and this site are free because of this, and we say so up front so you can weigh what you read.

Peter Khoury

Peter Khoury is the founder of WPF Go and Executive Chairman of White Picket Fence Holdings. He brings 20 years’ experience as a multiple award-winning Australian financial planner. Having left the financial planning industry, he now works on solving the deposit burden most Australians face.

In December 2018 Peter posted on social media one night about buying property with zero deposit and woke to 4,700 inquiries. On New Year’s Eve that year he helped facilitate WPF Holdings’ first zero-deposit purchase. Today, through WPF Holdings, Peter helps hundreds of Australians buy property each year. He presents the WPF Go webinars and is the author of the articles on this site.

Peter’s aim in the webinars is to show the numbers, including the worst case, and to be straightforward about the risks as well as the benefits. His articles and presentations are general information, not personal advice.

How the webinars work

The webinars are free live training sessions on Zoom, presented by Peter Khoury. They show how people can own an investment property with no deposit down, using 100% of the purchase price plus LMI for eligible applicants, and they walk through real case studies and the weekly cost. They usually cover:

  • What rentvesting is and who it tends to suit
  • The 2026 negative gearing and CGT changes, and what’s still before Parliament
  • How new builds and house and land packages work, including depreciation
  • How 100% of the purchase price plus LMI works, and its trade-offs
  • How rental guarantees work, who provides them and when they end
  • Best case and worst case numbers on an example property
  • Questions from attendees

You choose from the upcoming session times (shown in AEDT) and register with your name, email and mobile. Your personal Zoom link is sent by SMS and email. Seats are limited and sessions are for Australian residents. If you can’t make it live, the replay goes only to registered attendees. Joining from a laptop is easier for following the numbers, and partners are welcome to join together. By registering, you agree to WPF GO contacting you by phone, SMS and email about the training and related services, and you can opt out at any time.

After a webinar, some attendees choose to speak with the team about their own situation. That’s optional. Anything personal, such as finance, is handled by licensed providers and is subject to eligibility and assessment.

Our information-only stance

We explain how things work and what people commonly consider. We don’t tell anyone what to do.

That means:

  • We don’t give personal financial, tax or credit advice.
  • We don’t tell anyone they’re eligible for a loan, scheme or tax treatment. Lenders, scheme administrators and the ATO decide that.
  • We don’t promise growth, rents or tax outcomes. Values can fall, and in 2026 they have.
  • We show the risks with the same prominence as the benefits.
  • We date our facts and link our sources, and we update pages when the rules change.
  • We use “subject to legislation before Parliament” wherever the law isn’t settled yet.

If something on this site looks out of date or wrong, we want to know. Email us at admin@wpfgo.com.au.

Our sources

We rely on primary and well-established sources: the ATO, government scheme websites, the legislation itself, and reputable research and media such as Cotality, PropTrack, BMT Tax Depreciation, Pitcher Partners, Baker McKenzie and the ABC. Each page lists the sources it uses and the date the facts were checked.
